Today I’m interviewing Ivy Morris, a character created by Misty Simon, fellow Central PA Romance Writer. Welcome, Ivy. Tell us a bit about yourself.
RESPONSE: Hello! I’m Ivy, new to the Martha’s Pointers and new to this whole living on my own thing. So far, so good, except for this upcoming party that my best friend, Bella, is throwing. For some reason she won’t tell me who’s selling what here. My only clue is the unmentionable shape of the cookies Bella thrust at me along with flesh-colored icing. What on earth am I supposed to do with these things?
Woo hoo! Where’s my invitation? *wink*
What are Martha’s Pointers?
RESPONSE: Martha’s Pointers are what the clever townspeople of Martha’s Point, VA call themselves. I’m not sure I realized how hard it would be to be accepted into a small town…
What do you do for fun?
RESPONSE: For fun? I know what I’d like to be doing for fun – namely one Ben Fallon – but with my dad in town (why on earth is he here?) that’s on hold for the moment. Instead I decorated those cookies as best I could while trying really hard to not to think what I’m thinking since the shape was telling me this was not going to be a Tupperware party. And I was right. Normally I love being right since it so rarely happens. But being right is not all it’s cracked up to be! Adult toy party helper was not on my list of things to do and neither was finding the toy party consultant dead with my scarf around her neck after I’d just left the room!
Yikes! Do you think someone is trying to frame you?
RESPONSE: Not if I can help it!
How do you plan to prove your innocence?
RESPONSE: Plan? You want me to have a plan? First, I think I’ll get a tub of ice cream and call in the Ben Brigade. No way I’m going to be able to do this on my own now that Bella thinks I killed her former friend…
Hmm, fleshy cookies, ice cream, and Ben Fallon. I’d like to know how this is going to end.
